Engraved in mezzotint by C. Turner for The Rivers of England, 1824 (Rawlinson 754). Based on a pencil sketch in the 'River' sketchbook T.B.XCVI 76r (continued on 49r) inscribed 'More Park' or 'For More Park'. Since the address Turner has written in the front of this book is 'West End Upper Mall Hammersmith', it has been dated to c.1807-11, when the artist lived there; it seems likely then that for this view he relied on a slight sketch which was some ten years old. The still life of foliage in the bottom right-hand corner may also have been derived from a study in the 'River sketchbook, that on f.2r; though such plant studies occur elsewhere, eg. in the 'Walmer Ferry' sketchbook (No.259).
