Related to Thirner's mezzotint 'Paestum' for the Little Liber. A number of pencil drawings of Paestum are in the 'Naples, Paestum and Rome' sketchbook (No.232). Turner used the motif of lightning playing round the temples at Pastum for a vignette in Roger's Italy (No.274).
