At the top of this sheet is a strip of colour belonging to another ‘colour-beginning', perhaps of the same subject. This drawing and T.B.CCLXIII-348 may both have been executed as late variations of the large painting 'England: Richmond Hill on the Prince Regent's Birthday' of 1818 (No.167); but it seems more probable that they are to be associated with the large watercolour of Richmond Hill' of c.1825 (No.257) or even with the smaller view for the England and Wales series (No.434).
