Engraved by E. Goodall for The Literary Souvenir, PLIII, 1826 (Rawlinson No.314). The largest and most splendid of Turner's watercolours relating to this subject, this drawing seems to have been executed in conjunction with a series of 'colour-beginnings' developing a theme which had appeared in some early watercolour studies (see No.174) and which he developed very fully in one direction when he painted the large England: Richmond Hill on the Prince Regent's Birthday in 1818 (No.167).
