Rawlinson No.522; the plate illustrates The Provincial Antiquities of Scotland in Cadell's edition of Scott's Prose Works, 1834-6. The finished watercolour from which it derives was in Munro's collection and later in America. Rawlinson considered the print 'perhaps the most beautiful of Turner's many engraved renderings of Norham Castle.'
