Dag op dag 21 jaar nadat de 13-jarige Petra Giese door Joachim ‘Jockel’ Kroll werd vermoord zat ik op een stoel en sneed met een mes alle kleren van mijn lichaam. Aan mijn linkerhand was een touw vastgemaakt dat langzaam door een electrische takel aan de andere kant van de ruimte werd opgerold mijn lichaam over de betonnen vloer sleurend.

On exactly the same day that 21 years earlier 13-year-old Petra Giese was killed by Joachim ‘Jockel’ Kroll the Ruhr Hunter I sat on a chair and cut off all the clothes off my body. To my left hand a rope was tied leading to an electric winch at the other end of the room slowly dragging my body over the concrete floor.
