Two refrigerator doors from an Amsterdam nightclub. The top one has an engraved drawing by serial killer Dennis Nilsen of one of his victims on his livingroom floor. The second one has a poem by him:
The Monochrome Man
The monochrome man is a dream
It is the black and it is the white of life.
That he stands new himself and distant
He is the cameo who activates now and then
Can't cope with metropolitania
Taking him sometimes to this, numbing chant
On the waste he laid before him
Peaceful, pale flesh on a bed
Real and beautiful - and dead. Refrigerator doors, engraved, painted and varnished, 165cm x 40cm x 10cm. Collection of Bert De Leenheer. | |
