Five Fischer Boyd PRice Stud
| |
| ||
Five Fischer Price toy record players are lined up in a circle, all facing each other. Each original wind-up button is replaced by a new 3D printed button with an integrated LED spot. Each original spring-loaded mechanism inside is replaced by an electric motor and 3D printed parts. Each record player plays an endless loop disk with random notes in different patterns. The discs were prepared with music software, generated into 3D software and printed. The five record players are connected to a 12v control box. The title relates to the 'Five Car Stud' from American installation artist Edward Kienholz, mashed up with American noise musician Boyd Rice. Five toy record players, 3D print, electric motors, LED spots, 160cm x 180cm x 11cm. Collection of Didier Casimiro. | ||
