The plate, R.10. bearing the symbol 'M' for Marine, was issued in Part 11 of the Liber Studiorum (R.10). Turner's drawing of the subject is T.B.CXVI-M; it was closely based on the 'Egremont Sea Piece', exhibited as ‘Ships bearing up for Anchorage' in 1802 (No. 72).
