112 - Shipping Scene with Fishermen
One of the drawings in sepia wash which Turner made in connection with the Liber Studiorum, but not actually used as the basis of an engraved design. The subject has affinities with 'Shipping at the Entrance of the Medway', a drawing similar in size and handling to this in the Turner Bequest, CXVIII-b* (presented by W. G. Rawlinson, 1913), also unused by Turner; it was later engraved by Sir Frank Short (R.98). An image generated by an AI Machine Learning Model Property of the artist.
