The sketches in this book include scenes at Windsor and Eton as well as a long series of slight sketches of boats moored or sailing at Cowes, where, in July 1827, Turner visited John Nash who had commissioned him to paint pictures of the Regatta. These were shown at the R.A. in 1828 (see No.321).
