370 - ‘Spa, Dinant and Namur’ Sketchbook - View of a Town among Hills - View along a Road

This sketchbook records part of Turner's tour through Belgium and along the Rhine and Moselle to Cologne and Coblenz, in July and August 1834.

Finberg suggests that f.24v shows Spa; but the inscription appears to be the name of the place represented. A drawing, apparently of the same view, in pen and bodycolour on blue paper, is in the 'Meuse-Moselle' series, T.B.CCXCII-66.
