Contains material sketched in Switzerland on a tour with H. A. J. Munro of Novar in the summer of 1836. In spite of the inscription recorded by Finberg there appear to be no Italian subjects in the book. Among the sketches made at Stratford at the back is a study of the Shakespeare monument used for an illustration to Scott's Prose Works, 1834 (Rawlinson No.524).
