623 - Dream of Italy: Woman with Tambourine
| ||
|
Derived closely from the Liber Studiorum composition 'The Woman and Tambourine', R.3, published June 1807 and classified as E.P? (Epic Pastoral) like the other designs used for similar late oils; for a discussion of the group as a whole see No.620. This is one of the two oils of this size that can be traced to the sale of John Pound, son of Turner's housekeeper Mrs Booth by her first marriage, at Christie's on 25 March 1865; the other was the 'Walton Bridges', sometimes known as 'Italy', in the collection of Henry S. Morgan, New York. An image generated by an AI Machine Learning Model Property of the artist.
