Kunstenaar: Kan je mij zeggen of er iemand van het M_hka mijn expo in Kiosk, Gent heeft bezocht?
Zo ja, enige reacties opgevangen? Zo nee, waarom niet?

Museumdirecteur: Kan ik niet zeggen, ik hoop van wel.
De collectie mensen zouden het hebben moeten doen omdat je een van de kernkunstenaars in onze collectie bent, de curatoren omdat je een van de belangrijke kunstenaars in onze stad bent.
Zelf ben ik niet geweest al heeft het de hele tijd op m’n lijstje gestaan. Ik denk niet dat ik in die maanden enige kunst tentoonstelling in ons land bezocht heb. Indien wel, dan was het die geweest. Ben al heel wat jaren niet meer betrokken bij de programmering en ook steeds minder bij collectie.
Ben wel nog even algemeen directeur, uit liefde voor de kunst.

Kunstenaar: Misschien kan je het bericht doorsturen en eens polsen. Het lijkt mij toch nuttig als directeur te weten of de curatoren en/of collectie mensen ook daadwerkelijk naar het werk van een van de belangrijkste kunstenaars van onze stad en kernkunstenaar in de collectie gaan kijken. Zeker als er een uitgebreid overzicht van ruim 40 jaar werk te zien is.
Je kan ze ook nog op de valreep naar het Middelheim sturen om mee te zoeken naar acht recente werkjes.

Artist: Can you tell me if anyone from M_hka visited my exhibition at Kiosk in Ghent?

Museum director: I can't say, but I hope so.
The collection team should have done so because you are one of the core artists in our collection, and the curators because you are one of the important artists in our city.
I haven't been myself, although it's been on my list the whole time. I don't think I visited any art exhibitions in our country during those months. If I did, it would have been that one. I haven't been involved in programming for many years now, and I'm also less and less involved in the collection.
I am still general director, out of love for art.

Artist: Perhaps you could forward the message and sound them out. As director, I think it would be useful to know whether the curators and/or collection staff are actually going to see the work of one of our city's most important artists and a key artist in the collection. Especially when there is an extensive overview of more than 40 years of work on display.
You could also send them to the Middelheim at the last minute to help look for eight recent works.
