A 3D remake of my performance 'Marteling van de Heilige Erasmus' in Kapel van de Romaanse Poort, Leuven, Belgium on 27 August 1995.

The sculpture was left behind anonymously in the Middelheim Open Air Museum for Sculpture on 19 September 2024 in the 'Come Closer' exhibition where "the space between sculpture and performance art is explored".

Visitors were challenged to find the sculpture and take it home.

'Marteling van de Heilige Erasmus' was found by Chris & Barend on Friday 27 September 2024, seven days after sending out a mailing to 1108 recipients. The location was 51°11'00.0"N 4°24'35.0"E. A nearby sculpture is 'Romeinse Straat' by Guillaume Bijl.
