Posters for an exhibition by AI artist Danny Devos at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, generated by an AI Machine Learning Model. 23 Posters for Exhibitions is a series of 23 posters from a description given to an Artificial Intelligence ‘Machine Learning Model’. The request was to create a poster for an exhibition by AI artist Danny Devos in 19 renowned museums or centres of contemporary art worldwide. ‘Machine learning’ is a field of study within artificial intelligence that deals with the development and study of statistical algorithms that can learn from data and generalise to unseen data, and thus perform tasks without explicit instructions. A ‘Machine Learning Model’ is a type of mathematical model that, after being ‘trained’ on a given dataset, can be used to make predictions or classifications on new data. During training, a learning algorithm iteratively adjusts the model’s internal parameters to minimise errors in predictions. A ‘Text-to-Image’ model is a machine-learning model that takes a natural language description as input and produces an image corresponding to that description. The A1 poster was printed on 100 copies that were randomly posted in various cities in Belgium and the Netherlands from March 2024 to May 2024. In all 2300 posters were printed and posted. Printed digital image by AI Machine Learning Models, 84cm x 59cm. Collection of Public Domain. | ||
